Gray, Tan, Mustard, Taupe Pieced Wool and Silk Arashi Shibori Discharged Scarf

$160.00

Stay warm this fall and winter with this beautiful, wool and silk scarf twisted around your neck or wrapped around your body.

Starting with a white rectangle of fulled wool jersey , I folded and bound the fabric around a pole using the arashi shibori method of resist then used a color removal technique to create the rippling wave forms you see. After washing the fabric, I sewed it to a silk charmeuse backing and ends to complete this luxurious winter look.

One of my favorite things about using shibori techniques are the unexpected patterns that occur from resists. Each twist and tie makes a new unique pattern for you to wear and you can continue to explore how to wear the scarf for years!
